In RATS! Spurlock takes viewers on a creepy journey to places never captured on film before to show both animal and human behavior, and demonstrating how reality can be so much scarier than fiction. From New York to New Orleans, Cambodia to Vietnam, this documentary travels the world uncovering various places rats call home. Featured interviews with scientists, city officials, and regular citizens shines a light on a creature most find horrifying. What’s truly scary is that we may not be horrified enough. The spread of mass disease is pretty horrifying, this film takes the viewer to a lab in New Orleans that researches the diseases being spread by these creatures and sheds light on why it’s important to find out what these rodents are potentially carrying in hopes of stopping any spread of disease before it’s too late. RATS! Will also be shown on Animal Planet October 30th.
